<p>Na última década, em especial, o comércio eletrônico saltou significativamente em volume de transações. No entanto, o aumento da atividade digital permitiu novas formas de fraude e ampliou a importância do gerenciamento eficaz para aprimorar a jornada de compra. Essa sofisticação dos golpes criou, ainda, outro tipo de problema para as companhias: o custo relacionado aos falsos positivos, que ocorrem quando a compra é legítima, mas é apontada como ilícita pelo sistema. Nesse caso, a empresa vendedora deixa de ganhar e a experiência do cliente é prejudicada.</p>



<p>Em 2021, foram 1,9 milhões de tentativas de fraude no Brasil, de acordo com um estudo do Serasa Experian. No entanto, um volume muito maior que esse costuma cair na &#8216;malha fina&#8217; das análises, e aquelas finalmente não confirmadas como fraudulentas são os falsos positivos. Mas, até que as coisas sejam esclarecidas, já houve significativo impacto financeiro e de relacionamento com o usuário.</p>
